Clemson Coed's Death Unsolved

Twenty-year old Tiffany Marie Soers, 20, a Clemson junior majoring in civil engineering, was found strangled to death with a bikini top at 1:30 a.m. last Friday in her flat in The Rerve, an apartment complex five to ten minutes from the Clemson campus. According to Pickens County Coroner Dr. James Mahanes, no trauma (e.g., cuts and bruises) to her body was evident (other than that of strangulation), and, according to Clemson police, there were no signs of forced entry or of a struggle. Toxicology and rape tests results should be available within two weeks. Alanna Dybus, a friend of Soers, said that Soers was not dating anyone recently. Even though Soers had a MySpace.com page and a Facebook.com page, she did not talk with strangers online according to a close friend on Fox News Live. Police report that they are speaking with people of interest. Soers' funeral and interment are scheduled for tomorrow.

I think I created my own weblog by mistake!  See:  "Weblog Created By Mistake"  Oh well, all I was going to say was:  hello, everybody and here I am, ready to obfuscate and make a complex situation even worse with my sardonic stylings and black muddy ramblings.  

All I have to say about this horrible subject in Clemson is that Mr. Hogue is currently running neck and neck with Brent Bozell for the "isn't this terrible?  Shocking! Just shocking!  Now, here's some more seedy info for you!" award.

Forgive me, James, but this is an example of a story, like many stories, that we shouldn't read any more of than the headlines or the intro to the story and then move on.
Think of good things:
"...whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things."-Philippians 4:8-9.

No worries, Jon. A good point. Fear not: I don't intend to belabor Tiffany Soers' story a la Greta's converage of Natalee. It is an odd story, though: definitely, single women should take note and act accordingly.

Piper, did you hear the bagpipes bewailing Tiffany's untimely demise at her funeral? Reminds me of the Haven and its tangential touch with a similar tragedy.

Not at all, J. Thanks for your exhortations toward my edification. "Faithful are the wounds of a friend." Provs. I don't recollect her name but she was the beautiful girlfriend of a tennis player that came to an untimely end after leaving the Haven and matriculating elsewhere. Sad and tragic!
