Faith Unhinged

Faith Hill's persona as a sweet, beautiful wife and mother took a hit last night at the Country Music Awards. When Carrie Underwood was awarded Female Vocalist of the Year, Faith became unhinged: she looked straight into the camera and said, "I won," and then she stormed off in disgust. Faith, no need to throw a temper tantrum: you're supposed to be a Southern lady.

If you want to see the video, go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYh8shXJ7PI. (However, the video is a bit messed up: Fox and Friends had a clean clip on the morning and may put it on their site.)

I suppose that, no matter how you look at it, the Female Vocalist of the Year is Faithless.  Oh well, what the Hill...

George Michael might disagree: "You Gotta Have Faith."

It looked to me like she was just joking around.  By the way, it looked like she said, "What?" as in, "What!  I can't believe it's not me!"  She's still a Southern lady, just one with a little joie de vivre (which is, J, the way that I heard that you like them, no?)

Fox & Friends termed it the "shocker of the night." Her spokesperson said that she was joking. I hope that she really was. Joseph, you're right: I do like ladies with that special joy of living.

Faith Hill's nominated song was "Feels So Right, Baby Yeah!"
Carrie Underwood's nominated song was "Baby It Feels So Right"
Rascal Flatt's song was "Baby, It Feels Yeah Good"
Jacey Brand Vacuum Brain's song was "So Right Yeah, Feely!"

Music right out of a faucet; just twist and a new hit single comes out!
