QEII: Guest, Not Ruler

Isn't it wild how W treats QEII (Queen Elizabeth II of the UK) as American royalty and one to fawn over with the utmost deference? The White House is feting the English monarch with a white-tie dinner and acting as if we had lost the Revolutionary War to King George III. Americans should not bow, should not curtsey, and should not not look her in the eye. She is our guest, and we are her equal. Let's act like it!  We are now Americans: no longer British subjects!

Hear, hear!  I could not agree more.

By the way, I've got a new customized JUNO email, with the following quote which will follow my official signature on all emails:

"If General McClelland does not wish to use the army, then I would like to borrow it for awhile."  Pres. Abraham Lincoln.

Great quote, G. Btw, as Hillary Duff might say, the royalty is "so yesterday."

We'll know we're really in trouble if Starbucks start serving High Tea at 4:00....

Exactly. If there is a quick buck to be made, they will. Ironically, that's the American way.

She deserves respect: she snubbed Brian Williams, after all...
