Carter Bashes Bush

Yes, this is old news. However, AOL Journals will not accept my new entries from my Apple: I am posting from someone else's Dell. AOL is horrible when it comes to being user-friendly for Mac support.

Jimmy Carter, probably the worst president in my memory, tried to salvage his own reputation by bashing the current President as being the worst in history with regard to his administration's effect on the world. He later recanted saying that he was referring to W vis-a-vis Nixon. Earlier, the winner of the Nobel "Peace" Prize, even attacked Blair for his "apparent subservience" to Bush as to the Iraq war. This lover of despots and other American "victims" cannot seem to condemn or even criticize (other than in a mild perfunctory manner) Castro, Chavez, etc. Perhaps, he will ask his benighted brother Bush to teach his Sunday school class in an effort to reach out to him and promote world peace and ecumenical love.

Jimmy Carter, USNA graduate, but he was a Bubblehead which is Navy jargon for being a submariner.  Intellectually he may be smart enough to run a nuclear reactor a couple hundred feet under the surface of the ocean.  But man he was a lousy prez...

Jimmy is a paradox;  on one hand espousing Christian ideals whilst on the other berating Bush (almost exclusively as noted by the much esteemed  host of this blog).  You bring up good points in that Carter does little to deride Chavez, Castro, Iran, Syria, Chad, Darfur, et al.  Why?

I had Jimmy on a plane circa 2002.  We flew him from Manauga, Nicarauga to Miami after he monitored the elections there.  He was very nice and the Secret Service agents  guarding him had nothing but great things to say about him and Mrs. Carter.  My  one observation from meeting him is that the man is short, and surprisngly so.  TV must not only add pounds but inches to your height.

Bush bashing is in season in Planes Georgia...it is a year round season.  Where was Jimmy when Monica was being molested by POTUS?

Jimmy's foreign policy is a study in dismal failure.  Weakness is the word I would use to describe his tenure.  From the Panama Canal to Iran, Jimmy was weak.

Good points, A6! It's wild that you flew the "trust me" Prez. Not only did he give us the current regime in Iran and take from us the Panama Canal, but he also handed over to the Gipper a moribund economy, a "paper tiger" military, and a demoralized people. He should stick to hammering for Habitat and observing for his Center.

Wassup with the other H blogs?  Is the Danchan webserver down?  Cannot get either the H the 10th nor H Heaven...

A6, I'm having the same problem accessing their blogs: danchan seems to periodically to go down for a few days.

Amen!  When will this man go away?  Jimmy the "I can't believe we elected him as president" Carter keeps reminding us how anybody can be elected as president, even a closet communist.  The bible states that by their fruit you will know them.  I think if Jimmy doesn't experience real conversion, he might be in for a big shock post his earthly tenure.

Carter, in his bid for post-presidential credibility, seems to have hurt himself in many American minds as he gets toasted by Bush-hating Europeans. As to his spiritual state, I cannot say: however, he doesn't seem to be imbued with  much love toward American leaders vis-a-vis his long standing longsuffering of world despots.
